LOAN TRANSFER

On 19 May 2021, the Drumcondra & District Credit Union Loans were transferred to Aviate Credit Union.

How does this affect me?

There is no change to the terms or conditions of your existing Loan(s). All legal and regulatory requirements applicable to your Loan(s) continue to apply and you continue to have the benefit of them.

What happens next?

Your Loan(s) will remain in place until all amounts payable have been paid, and your obligations to repay such outstanding amounts are owed to the Aviate Credit Union. Depending on your payment method you may need to make some changes. Aviate Credit Union will be in contact with you in this regard.
Drumcondra Credit Union is now closed and is no longer accepting payments.

NOTICE OF LIQUIDATION

Following an application on 2 July 2020 to the High Court by the Central Bank of Ireland, Stephen Tennant and Nicholas O'Dwyer of Grant Thornton were appointed Joint Liquidators (the "Liquidators") of Drumcondra & District Credit Union Limited.

Drumcondra & District Credit Union is now CLOSED.

Deposit Guarantee Scheme The Deposit Guarantee Scheme (the "DGS") has been invoked as a result of the Provisional Liquidation in respect of Drumcondra Credit Union only. Deposits up to ?100,000 per person per institution are protected under the DGS. Payments will automatically issue to the address held on file by Drumcondra Credit Union. These payments have been made as early as possible within the statutory deadline of 15 working days. Members do not have to take any action themselves as compensation payments will automatically issue by cheque to all duly verified depositors.
